Apple Unveils “Liquid Glass” Interface: A Sleek New Era for iOS 26
At WWDC 2025, Apple debuted a unified, translucent design across all platforms—plus AI-powered live translation, revamped apps, and smarter notifications.

Apple just dropped its biggest visual overhaul since 2013: “Liquid Glass.” This new design language—rolling out via iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe 26, watchOS 26, tvOS 26, and visionOS 26—brings glossy, translucent UI elements, dynamic sidebars, and fluid context-aware transitions into the mix. Think lock screens and tab bars that subtly shrink or glow with content, creating an elegant, immersive experience. Alongside the glassy glow, Apple packed platform-wide upgrades: automatic live translation now works in calls, FaceTime, and Messages, and Phone features smarter call screening with “Hold Assist” and live voicemails .
Messaging also levelled up—introducing polls, custom backgrounds, typing indicators, and AI tools. The new Games app centralizes titles and social features, priming Apple’s ecosystem for fun. While AI is taking center stage again, the anticipated Siri upgrade remains under wraps, delayed yet again. Still, Apple’s move toward a unified, intelligent interface—paired with real-time translation and polished visuals—marks a major leap forward. The updates land this autumn, ushering in a more beautiful, smarter Apple experience.
